The Dasen American Academy

The Dasen American Academy was established by Xiebing Cauthen in 2002. Our students range in age from 6 to 17. Beginning in 2012 the program was gradually broadened to include a number of self-improvement activities and discussion groups and today also includes adults. See  Program.

Founder and President 

Xiebing Cauthen….Oakland, California

Xiebing Cauthen was born in China and came to the United States in 1997. In China she had an illustrious career as an author of children’s books and as a professional writer, TV program director and teacher.   Since coming to the Bay Area she has taught in various public and private schools. She is a voracious reader and still spends much of her spare time studying Eastern and Western culture and philosophy. Much of the effectiveness of the Dasen American program stems from Xiebing’s teaching experience and her unique ability to relate to each trainee individually. Because of her long experience she is able to impart to students the values they will need to handle life challenges in a manner that they will both understand and enjoy.
